Real clouds/fake clouds -- How To Tell the Difference

These descriptions are overly simplistic.  The differences between aerosols and natural clouds are subtle (like the difference between real and fake leather, for instance,) and may take time to recognize.  The imitation clouds which have been developed are excellent counterfeits, and air currents move both types of molecules in much the same way.   But generally speaking, here are a few guidelines:

It's easy to recognize fake clouds when: 

1. You see them being created by planes.  Aerosol trails usually spread out to resemble normal clouds or haze.

 

2. They look like aerosol trails ("chemtrails").
